Four Tet's Kieran Hebden Announces Final Steve Reid Collaboration

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 30, 2015

The ever-busy Kieran Hebden already released a new Four Tet album this month, dropping the surprise two-song LP Morning/Evening. As if that weren't enough, he's announced that he'll release another collaboration with late jazz drummer Steve Reid.

In case you forgot, the pair released five long-players billed as Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid before the latter passed away in 2010 at age 66.

Taking to Twitter this morning (June 30), Hebden announced that their final collaborative effort "Strings of Life" was ready for release via his own Text Records imprint.

For now that's all we know, though we have a feeling the release will surface shortly in one way or another.

UPDATE: You can now stream the "Strings of Life" below. The limited 12-inch housing the track is due to be released soon.
