LuckyMe is counting down the days to Christmas with its musical advent calendar, and the latest freebie to emerge is a Hudson Mohawke remix of Four Tet's "Parallel Jalebi" from last year's Beautiful Rewind.
Four Tet's original version paired woozy, chopped-up vocal riffing with a rat-a-tat electronic arrangement, and Mohawke's version begins in similar fashion. The producer then spits the sonic elements into distinct sections: much of the structure emphasizes the ambient elements, but the middle section is a blast of jackhammer synth stutters.
