It's safe to assume that Four Tet is sitting on multiple hard drives worth of unreleased gems, as the UK electronic artist is constantly surprising us with new treats. Most recently, he's shared a long lost remix of Coldplay's uplifting, feel-good anthem "Fix You."
Appearing on Jon Hopkins' BBC Radio 1 residency, Four Tet's Kieran Hebden unleashed his remix on the world. Keeping Chris Martin's emotive vocals in place, Four Tet offers a deeply precious backdrop built on chiming glockenspiel sounds and field recordings. It doesn't build up to an emotionally barn-burning conclusion like the original, but it doesn't really need to — this thing is cute as hell.
Listen to Four Tet try to "Fix You" here. The song comes in just before the 26-minute mark.
