Now that Foster the People have secured their buzz-band status with this year's breakthrough album Torches and its ubiquitous mega-single "Pumped Up Kicks," it comes as no surprise that the Los Angeles pop rock outfit will continue to milk their success with yet more touring in 2012.
The group have booked their schedule all the way until the summer, and this includes a North American outing that lasts from late May all the way until July. The leg includes three Canadian dates: Montreal on June 12, Toronto on June 19, and Burnaby (just outside of Vancouver) on June 25. Tokyo Police Club will open up for the band at the first two Canadian gigs, while Mayer Hawthorne and the County will perform at the BC show.
Before the North American outing begins, Foster the People have shows in Asia, Australia, South America and Europe. In other words, 2012 is going to be another big year for the band. See the schedule below.
