Published Aug 28, 2009If you hate having all your favourite Foo Fighters hits spread out over a decade's worth of albums, good news: Dave Grohl and the guys are releasing a best-of album. Simply called Greatest Hits, the collection is slated for a November 3 release in North America and will come boasting a selection of Foo classics, as well as two new tracks.
One of those new songs will be "Word Forward," says the press release, while the second newbie is called "Wheels," a track debuted live on July 4 at President Barack Obama's White House barbecue. At the time, Grohl described "Wheels" as being"about that feeling when the wheels touch the ground [and] you're like, 'Oh god, I'm glad that's over with.'"
There is no official tracklisting yet for the release, but other songs that are to appear on the disc include "The Pretender," "All My Life," "Learn to Fly," "Best of You," "Times Like These," "My Hero" and "Everlong."
