Published Apr 19, 2013Late last year, Foo Fighters performed a Led Zeppelin cover in front of the members of Led Zep, and now they've done a similar thing for Rush. The band performed last night (April 18) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
A trio version of the group donned wigs and all-white duds and smashed their way through "2112 Overture" by the Canadian prog icons. Watch a fan video of that performance below.
They were also joined by Rush to play "Tom Sawyer" and "The Spirit of Radio," but that video unfortunately doesn't appear to have hit the web yet. The ceremony will air on HBO on May 18, so perhaps more footage will emerge then.
The Foos also gave a funny induction speech about Rush, asking, "When the fuck did rush become cool?" The speech is also below.
