Flying Lotus Collects Ten Years of Rarities on New Mix, Sets New Album for April Release
While the wait for his long-rumoured DJ-Kicks mix doesn't have an end in sight, glitchy hip-hop extraordinaire Flying Lotus dropped a different gift on fans this Christmas. Namely, the producer had Gaslamp Kiler create a mix of Lotus rarities, and released it for free via his own Brainfeeder label.

The mix, which can be downloaded here, compiles tracks that have been sitting idle over the producer's full decade of beat-making. "As we're approaching this new year, I felt it was time to let go of some things that have been gathering dust," Lotus writes. "Some old things, and some new things, I tried to pick out tracks that I know yall haven't heard yet so there should be surprises around every turn."

Besides the new mix, he also revealed that his new album will be dropping on Warp Records this spring. Titled Cosmogramma, the record is due in stores on April 20.
