Los Angeles beatsmith Flying Lotus has one of the year's most anticipated releases with the forthcoming You're Dead! LP. Today, we get our first proper taste of the album with the Herbie Hancock-assisted "Moment of Hesitation."
FlyLo mastermind Steven Ellison spoke with Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 6 before debuting the Herbie Hancock collaboration. As could be expected, the song itself is immensely jazzy, pairing busy drumwork with horns aplenty, walking bass lines and plenty of other sonic gems. It's a heady, out-there trip and one that has us very excited for the new LP.
