"So happy I got picked for the team this year"

Yellowjackets — the Melanie Lynskey-starring smash TV show about a team of high school soccer players who go down in a plane crash and get up to some witchy shit in the woods — is returning for its second season on March 24, and it'll be bringing a pretty wild cover song along with it.

When you think about it, Florence Welch is a pretty obvious fit for the Yellowjackets universe, often messing around in the same occult, feminine, violent place that the show does. A much less straightforward pairing is Florence Welch and No Doubt, but that's what Yellowjackets Season 2 has in store for us — Welch took to Twitter today to share a brief teaser video that features a Florence + the Machine cover of No Doubt's "Just a Girl," writing that she's "so happy I got picked for the team this year."

In the video, Welch peruses a rack of her classic Stevie Nicks-meets-Little House on the Prairie dresses before selecting a Yellowjackets bomber, which she pulls on before giving a sly look to the camera. Over the video is a snippet of Welch's No Doubt cover, which sounds appropriately spooky and bombastic, the iconic opening riff played on a twinkling piano.

Florence + the Machine's last album was 2022's Dance Fever
