Florence and the Machine

"Over the Love"

Florence and the Machine are one the many acts appearing on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's upcoming movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, and you can now check out the UK pop act's contribution, called "Over the Love."

The song starts off subtly, with Florence Welch singing about sitting down at her piano and crying, with extra cinematic flourishes added to the mix as she details life, love and regret over a glass of champagne. The dourly decadent backdrop plays well into the roaring twenties theme of Gatsby.

Executive produced by Jay-Z, the soundtrack arrives May 7 through Interscope and will also include tracks from Hova, Jack White, the XX, Beyoncé and André 3000, Bryan Ferry and more. Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" single from the set is said to drop April 23. The film itself arrives in theatres on May 10.
