Flemish Eye Announces Anniversary Ball

Flemish Eye Announces Anniversary Ball
Calgary-based record label Flemish Eye have introduced the world to some of Alberta's most exciting artists, including Chad Van Gaalen and Women. Though they've only put out eight releases, they've been eight excellent releases. To celebrate the five-and-a-half-year mark of their label, they've announced that they'll be throwing the Flemish Eye Ball at Calgary's No. 1 Legion on May 16.

The show will feature performances from Chad Van Gaalen, Women, Pail Air Singers, Black Mold, Azeda Booth, Ghostkeeper, and No More Shapes. And as an added bonus, Julie Doiron will be performing with Van Gaalen, as well as some of her songs. Famines front-man Raymond Biesinger designed an elaborate poster, which is viewable here or above.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on April 18 and be available from the Flemish Eye site. They'll also be at local records shops Sloth and Megatunes, so since you'll be celebrating Record Store Day tomorrow anyway, you could pick them up then.
