Fleet Foxes Wrap Up Recording New Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 17, 2010

Back in July, harmonizing indie folk dudes Fleet Foxes revealed that they were hard at work on their second album via a cryptic but telling studio update. Now, they've dropped word that the LP is done, and release info will be coming shortly.

NME points to the band's Facebook page, where frontman Robin Pecknold wrote, "Hey all, it's been a bit since a recording update. Well, recording is done! We are flying to New York tomorrow to mix and master the album and will have information about release date and when you'll get to hear a song or two SOON. Geologically soon but soon."

For now, that's all the information we're working with. Fortunately, the band's self-titled debut still holds up so well that the wait is somewhat bearable, at least for now.
