Flaming Lips front-man Wayne Coyne is no stranger to oddball stunts. After all, this is a man whose most recent music video portrayed him having his clothes torn off before being pushed headfirst into a massive disembodied vagina. Coyne's penchant for weirdness mean that, back in fall 2007, nobody really made much of a fuss when his band's MySpace featured photos and video of him dressed up as an invented character called the Blob in the Bath. (It was Halloween, after all.)
The story gets stranger, however. It appears that Halloween 2007 just so happened to be the day that Google was taking pictures of Coyne's neighbourhood for its Google Maps Street View function. So if you go to the right coordinates in Oklahoma City, you'll find a picture of what appears to be Coyne himself, sitting in the bathtub and dressed up as the Blob.
Not only is this a crazy coincidence that goes a long way to furthering the singer's wacky public image, it also happens to be kind of creepy. After all, the entire world now knows that Coyne lives at the corner of NW 13th and N Gatewood in Oklahoma City.
