Flaming Lips Reveal Neon Indian Twelve-Inch

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 24, 2011

Back in January, Oklahoma freak pop dudes the Flaming Lips revealed that they had collaborated with chillwave master Neon Indian on some new material. Now, we're happy to report that the collaboration has resulted in a four-song twelve-inch, which is quickly becoming available at various record stores.

According to Wayne Coyne's Twitter [via Pitchfork], however, copies of the record are being personally delivered to record stores in the United States. On Monday (March 23), Coyne tweeted that he was delivering some copies to Guestroom Records in Oklahoma, then the Dallas record store Good Records announced that he would be delivering records there tonight (March 24).

Here's hoping Coyne stops dicking around with these things and hooks up with a distributor, as it will probably be quite some time before he mosies up to Canada. A picture of the coloured vinyl and portions of the art can be seen above, while the tracklisting is below.

UPDATE: You can now listen to the entire release in our Click Hear department.
