The Flaming Lips Get Set for "24 Hour Song Skull" with New Website
We're still trying to get our heads around the idea that the Flaming Lips have created a 24-hour song. The wait for this mind-bending piece of music is almost over, though, since the band have created a website especially for streaming the track.

The website indicates that the track is called "7 Skies H3." The site isn't much to look at, but it does feature a picture of a goo-topped human skull with a USB connector coming out of the ear; remember that the band promised that the song would come encased in a human skull.

As previously confirmed, the song will be unveiled on midnight (CST) on Halloween -- so if you begin streaming it immediately, it will finish right as the calendar turns over to November. The website includes a countdown clock to when the track will be unveiled.

It's probably a good thing that the song will be available as an online stream, since the band posted a tweet noting that the file takes up 24 gigabytes of hard drive space.

Of course, this follows hot on the heels of the band's six-hour song, which you can listen to below.
