FKA twigs

'#throughglass' (short film)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 20, 2014

On top of pushing the boundaries of contemporary experimental pop, FKA twigs has now issued a conceptual, Google Glass-exploring new short film threading together her LP1 tracks "Video Girl" and "Glass & Patron."

Titled #throughglass, it first has the artists staring at a mirror as she activates her Google Glass, taking in the sights of a dancer before launching into a lighting quick series of twists and intricate hand manoeuvres of her own. As the track about video culture plays on, FKA twigs is soon approached by a series of similarly braided dancers.

Rather than spoil things, you can check out the rest of the gymnastic display down below. You can also find her upcoming batch of tour dates, including a stop at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on November 17, over here.
