First Aid Kit Ready 'Stay Gold' Album, Announce Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 31, 2014

It's been two years since Swedish folk experimenters First Aid Kit released their breakthrough album The Lion's Roar. This year, they'll finally break their silence with the release of a new album.

The record is called Stay Gold, and sees the band's Johanna and Klara Söderberg working with Bright Eyes producer Mike Mogis. In addition, the album features orchestral arrangements from Nate Walcott, a collaborator with Bright Eyes, Broken Bells and Rilo Kiley. Walcott works with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra.

Surprisingly, the album's not coming out on Omaha, NE label Saddle Creek (home of Bright Eyes). Instead, it'll arrive on June 10 via Columbia. A trailer for the album is available below along with a stream of "My Silver Lining."

In addition, First Aid Kit have booked an extensive world tour that includes Canadian stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. All dates are available below.
