Dua Lipa's Toronto fans knew they were in for a high-octane performance last night (July 27), but nobody expected an unplanned fireworks show to be set off in the middle of the crowd.

Toronto Police confirmed to CityNews that they received reports around 11:40 p.m. ET of someone on the floor section of Scotiabank Arena setting off fireworks during the pop star's rescheduled Future Nostalgia tour performance.

"Whatever firecrackers they used sounded quite a lot like gunfire," a witness told the outlet.

The display drew a mixed reaction, with many concertgoers also frightened by what sounded like the firing of an automatic weapon and exiting the area, while others thought it was part of the production, including one of the three attendees who suffered minor injuries.

"I was on the ground level close to the admin area when I saw the fireworks above my head," they told CityNews. "But I realized that I was in danger when my leg was struck."

All were treated by internal medics, with none requiring an ambulance.

Police are currently investigating. Anyone with further information is being asked to contact authorities.

Fan footage posted to social media shows a wave of concern and confusion cross Lipa's face as the fireworks are set off. See footage of that and video clips of the incident below.
