Firefly Festival Will Be Totally Curated by Fans Next Year

Firefly has been operating out of Dover, DE, for the last five summers, and now the festival is putting the planning of the annual event into the hands of fans. In an interesting move, organizers have extended an invitation to attendees to share ideas about what they want from the experience.

In addition to the annual talent survey, which helps organizers plan the performer lineup, fans can also vote on the overall experience — including the design and decoration of the festival grounds, onsite activities, food, merch and more.

Starting now, the Firefly team will be sharing polls, surveys, and message boards on their website and across social media, allowing those who will be attending the festival to help plan out their entire experience.

This year's event is scheduled to take place in Dover from June 15 to 18. Head over here to voice your own ideas about what shape the festival should take.

Past headliners at the festival include Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Outkast, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, the Killers, Paul McCartney and Blink-182.
