Fink

Finian Greenhall (aka Fink) started his musical life as an ambient beat peddler, but now fancies himself a bit of a bedroom folkie. His set was a subdued, hushed affair, which is expected given the intimate nature of his songs. What was surprising was how good they actually were — minor key musings that were accessible without being derivative, bringing to mind José González’s work. As with many of the performers at CMW, Fink soldiered on gamely despite a largely indifferent audience, whose chattiness sucked much of the ambience out of the performance.
