Victoria’s the Fine Options had to make due with small stage space, choosing to omit guitar from more than half of their set. The four-piece, including an organ player, jammed a cool blend of Weezer-like riffs mixed with Thrush Hermit indie rock sensibilities. Comparisons to Hot Hot Heat are irresistible, but the band did manage to create some original-sounding stuff. Overall, the Fine Options kept the crowd interested with catchy songwriting, but the performance was a little cramped.
