Final Fantasy Announces North American Tour in Support of Heartland

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 30, 2009

After such a long wait, it's nice to be on the home stretch before Owen Pallett finally releases his new Final Fantasy record, Heartland. And it seems Pallett is just as excited as we are, as he's announced a headlining tour to kick off 2010.

Finishing this year and the final leg of his North American tour, with the Mountain Goats, Pallett will start his 2010 on Heartland's January 12 release date, when Final Fantasy will headline a show at Toronto's Mod Club. From there, he'll launch a series of live dates that will include various Canadian stops in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

And while this tour so far sticks to the more eastern side of the country, knowing Pallett's busybody tendencies, it likely won't be long before he visits the rest of Canada.

Tour dates:

12/1 New York, NY - Webster Hall *

12/2 Brooklyn, NY - The Bell House *

1/12 Toronto, ON - The Mod Club (release party)

1/14 San Francisco, CA - Bottom of the Hill

1/16 Chicago, IL - Schubas

1/18 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom

2/6 Guelph, ON - Sleeman Centre (Hillside Inside)

2/10 Halifax, NS - St. Matthew's United Church
