Fields of Fire

Keep It Alive

BY Shawn MerrillPublished Jul 1, 2002

Fields of Fire are definitely keeping the '80s hardcore ghost alive, and if it weren't 2002, they'd be kicking it out on some stage with Uniform Choice, No For An Answer, 7 Seconds, Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits. Overflowing with the ceaseless spirit of youth, adrenalin, social consciousness and fun, Fields of Fire makes an old sound refreshing again in today's sea of mediocre mall punk. With short, snappy anthems, positive social commentary, grinding skate punk and sing-along choruses, what more could a retro-punk want?
