Throughout 2014, Scion Sessions and Arts & Crafts teamed up for their Field Trip Discovery Series, and now they're capping off the campaign with its sixth show and accompanying mixtape.
The show on December 4 at the Drake Underground features Calvin Love, New Hands, Aron D'Alesio and new Burger Records signee Michael Rault, and these same artists — minus Rault — also appear on the four-song mix for the show.
Love's two contributions are synthy hazes of pop dreaminess, while New Hands add a touch of vintage crooning to a similar sound, and D'Alesio (who is the guitarist from Young Rival) mixes guitar pop classicism with more modern production. Stream the Field Trip Discovery Series VI mix below.
At the show, a couple of prior double 7-inches from the Discovery Series will be available for free.
