Toronto's Field Trip music festival has finally returned with plans for a 2022 event at the city's historic Fort York. The festival will take place for one day only on July 9, and today, a lineup has been unveiled.

After ceasing festivities in 2019, the Toronto event will return this summer with performances by Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Peach Pit, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Lucy Dacus, the Halluci Nation, Valley, Busty and the Bass, Rheostatics, the Rural Alberta Advantage, Haviah Mighty, Daisy the Great, Pierre Kwenders, Georgia Harmer and OMBIIGIZI.

The festival will also bring back its "Day Camp" for child-festivalgoers, which features kids' stage entertainers Splash'N Boots, Recess Therapy and Ultimutts.

General admission tickets are $114.50, while VIP passes are $194.50 and kids 12 and under are free. Presales begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET. See the festival's website for more details.

"This is the perfect time for Field Trip to return. At its core, Field Trip has always been about community and we need to reconnect with our communities now more than ever," said festival co-founder and Arts & Crafts President Kieran Roy. "We can't wait to welcome people back to Field Trip to celebrate, be together again, discover their favourite new band, see their kids hula hoop, and be reminded of all the things we love about our city and about being with others."
