The Field and the Juan MacLean Team Up For North American Tour

BY Cam LindsayPublished Apr 16, 2009

How's this for a double bill? The Field's swirling shoegaze approach to minimal techno next to the Juan MacLean's sophisticated boy/girl synth pop. Well, the two acts have decided to join forces for a month-long North American jaunt just in time to promote their new albums.

The tour, which begins on May 21 in Cambridge, MA will have three Canadian stops in the usual places: Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, where it will end.

As we've mentioned over the past bit, the FIeld (aka Axel Willner) is readying his highly anticipated second album, Yesterday and Today, for release via Kompakt and Anti- here in North America. While the Juan MacLean just celebrated the release of their ode to Human League, The Future Will Come, this week.

There's no word as to who will be headlining, so we'll take it that it's a joint deal.
