FIDLAR Announce Debut Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 23, 2012

Following a few 7-inch releases, rowdy L.A. skate punks FIDLAR are finally ready to roll out their debut LP. It's a self-titled set, and it will arrive January 22 through Dine Alone/Mom + Pop.

A press releases assures that the 14-song album, recorded in the band's home studio, shows how the group have done "their homework on punk rock," citing influences like the Germs and Black Flag. FIDLAR's LP, however, is apparently "surfier, faster, more fuzzed-out, more personal and a lot more drunk."

The party vibe is pumped up with a song cycle featuring titles like "Cheap Beer," "Cocaine" and "Wake Bake Skate," not to mention the fact that the band's name is an acronym for "Fuck It Dog, Life's a Risk." You can sample some of that craziness in the new vid for "Cheap Beer" down below.

Apart from the LP, FIDLAR recently collaborated with new labelmate Kate Nash on a song called "AWWWKWAARRRDDD," which you can sample on FIDLAR's website. You can also find some U.S. and European tour dates on their Facebook page over here.
