Fever Ray Announces North American Shows

Start looking forward to autumn, folks, because that's when Karin Dreijer Andersson will give her Fever Ray its live North American debut. Beginning with two New York shows this September, the sister half of the Knife will take her solo project on a brief string of U.S./Canadian dates, stopping by Montreal and Toronto in the process.

Along with showing off the sounds of her Exclaim!-approved self-titled debut, the Swede will be bringing a four-piece live band with her out on the road and a live show designed by Andreas Nilsson, the Swedish multimedia artist behind the Knife's dark and twisted live show, as well as Fever Ray's "If I Had a Heart" video (see below).

In an April interview with Exclaim!, Dreijer Andersson said of her Fever Ray live show: "[Nilsson has] been doing masks and costumes and a lot of stage set design. We will work in a very theatrical way as we did with the Knife, but from a more organic perspective and not as high-tech as the Knife." And from what we've heard of the shows, they're also more than just a little spooky, in a good way.

Here are Fever Ray's North American dates:

9/28 New York, NY- Webster Hall
9/29 New York, NY - Webster Hall
10/1 Montreal, Quebec - Metropolis
10/2 Toronto, Ontario - Kool Haus
10/3 Chicago, IL - Metro
10/5 San Francisco, CA - Grand Ballroom
10/7 Los Angeles, CA - Henry Fonda Theater
