Quebec's Festival de Musique Émergente is set to make a return to Abitibi-Témiscamingue this Labour Day weekend for its 14th edition, and festival organizers have unveiled this year's incredibly diverse lineup.
Boasting an eclectic lineup that "yields numerous glittering musical discoveries," the festival will see more than 65 different acts take the stage from September 1 to 4. Thursday's (September 1) opening bill will include sets from We Are Wolves, Partner, Rouge Pompier, Carlotte Cardin, Jason Bajada, a collaborative show between Marie-Pierre Arthur and Galaxie, and Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project.
Friday (September 2) will feature Brain Püker, UK Subs, Les Deuxluxes, Yonatan Gat, Uubbuurruu, Fred Fortin, Co/ntry, Dead Obies, Brown, KNLO, Half Moon Run, Yann Perreau, Avec pas d'casque, Chanatal Archambault, Lakes of Canada, Aliocha, Le Carabine, Laurence Nerbonne, Maryanne Côté, Ludo Pin and Foreign Diplomats.
Saturday (September 3) is highlighted by electronic sets from Baadman, Flow and Claude AKA Fulgeance, following performances from Le Goules, Samba de la muerte, Érick D'Orion, METZ, VioleTT Pi, Royal Caniche, Les soeurs Boulay, Dan San, Bernhari, Koriass, Rednext Level, Krismenn & Alem, Ariane Zita, Mehdi Cayenne, Paupière, Bernardino Femminielli, GaBLé, Pandaléon, Patrick Bernatchez and Samito.
Finally Sunday (September 4) sees Moonshine, Plants and Animals, Despised ICon, Sandblast, the Barr Brothers, Tire le coyote, Laura Sauvage, PONTEIX, Paupière, Bernardino Femminielli, Rosie Valland, the Vasts, and Dear Criminals round out the festival.
Festival passes and accommodation packages go on sale July 21 at 12 p.m. EDT, while single tickets will be available as of August 5 through the festival website.
