Festival d'Été de Quebec 2017 Gets Metallica, Kendrick Lamar, Muse, Migos

The long-running Festival d'été de Québec is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, organizers have revealed a list of the first 50 performers who will grace festival stages this summer.

Joining Muse and Metallica atop the bill for this year's edition are Kendrick Lamar, P!nk, Flume, Lady Antebellum, Backstreet Boys, Migos, and Fetty Wap featuring his 1738 cohort Monty.

Rounding out today's reveal (in alphabetical order) are Amadou & Mariam, Andy Shauf, Arkells, Belle et Bum, Ben L'Oncle Soul, Bernard Adamus, Bobby Bazini, Bros, Crown the Empire, DakhaBrakham, Dead Obies, DJ Shadow, DNCE, DVBBS, Fred Fortin, Groenland, Hommage à Bob Walsh, Isabelle Boulay, Jesse Royal, Kelsea Ballerini, La Chicane, Les Cowboys Fringants, Les Soeurs Boulay, Les Trois Accords, Lisa LeBlanc, Los Lonely Boys, Matt Holubowski, Melissa Etheridge, Men Without Hats, Michel Fugain, Michel Louvain, MxPx, Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band, Phantogram, Pierce the Veil, Pink Martini, Rymz, the Barr Brothers, Bassekou Kouyaté & Amy Sacko, the Strumbellas, Tony Allen (Tribute to Art Blakey) and Yann Perreau.

"As we look forward to the 50th year of Festival d'été de Québec, we couldn't be more excited," general manager Daniel Gélinas said in a statement. "We are so proud to remain one of the few major non-profit, independent festivals in North America. Throughout our history, we've been able to make the music of both emerging artists international celebrities alike accessible to all. It has always been our mission since the inception of the Festival, and the 50th anniversary will more than ever continue to showcase that vision." 

The 2017 edition of Festival d'été de Québec will run from July 6 to 16 in Quebec City. Festival passes go on sale Thursday (March 9) for $95. Further information can be found through the festival's official website here.
