Feist Unveils New Album Trailer, Hints at Fall Release

A year ago, we learned that Feist was working with collaborator Chilly Gonzales on the follow-up to her 2007 smash The Reminder. Now, we've finally got some hints that the album may be finished and ready for release.

Today (July 21), Feist posted a new video on her website. Accompanied by some black and white clips of trees blowing in the wind, it contains some distantly echoing guitar noise and a speaker-melting, fuzzed-out drum beat.

There are a number of inactive icons at the bottom of the screen, suggesting that more videos will be unveiled incrementally. One of them features the date July 25. Go here to check it out.

Feist also tweeted that this first video is a "glimpse" of what's ahead and added, "more to come." The video, simply titled "#1," is embedded at the bottom of the page.

Another hint about a new Feist album came earlier this week, when Chatelaine named Feist as one of its Women of the Year. The blurb accompanying her nomination said, "Her highly anticipated new album is due in October."

Expect more hints and details to be unveiled in the coming weeks and months.
