Published Aug 30, 2010It's been over three years since The Reminder shot Feist into the pop stratosphere with ubiquitous, iPod-promoting single "1234." Now, finally, we have word that the songstress is working on the follow-up.
This news comes from collaborator Chilly Gonzales, who leaked the news to the Guardian while recording Feist's new record at La Frette Studios in a Parisian suburb. As Feist fanatics may know, this is the same place where the singer tracked The Reminder.
Gonzales has previously co-written songs with Feist and was credited as a co-producer on The Reminder. His exact contribution to the new, as-yet-untitled album isn't clear, but the Guardian noted, "He's not producing it as such."
And, unfortunately, other than confirming that he's working on the new record, Gonzales stays tight lipped about the new Feist LP, giving us very little to go on besides the fact that the new album is heading our way.
Feist has previously given fans a taste of her new material during live shows. Click on the video embedded below to listen to a track played during a performance in Vancouver earlier this year.
