Father John Misty Releases Live Album 'Off-Key in Hamburg'

All proceeds will be donated to the Recording Academy's MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund

Father John Misty has been laying relatively low recently, but the outspoken singer-songwriter has just emerged with a new live album, Off-Key in Hamburg.

The album was recorded live at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie last August, and finds Josh Tillman and his seven-piece backing band accompanied by the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt orchestra.

All proceeds from Off-Key in Hamburg will be donated to the Recording Academy's MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide aid to areas in the music industry impacted by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global pandemic (that is to say, all of them).

The 20-track live album features a mix of tracks from all four Father John Misty albums — Fear Fun, I Love You, Honeybear, Pure Comedy and God's Favorite Customer — and finds the already ornate instrumentation of the originals bolstered by the accompanying orchestra.

Hear the grandeur for yourself with the live version of "Holy Shit" below, following the tracklist. Off-Key in Hamburg is available to purchase now on Father John Misty's Bandcamp.
