With the annual Juno Awards on the not-so-distant horizon, this week's Can't Miss Concerts, from March 31 to April 6, present you with plenty of opportunities to get your Canadian music knowledge up to snuff. This week's roster features a wide range of Canadian talent, with a few non-Canuck acts in the mix to keep things interesting. Get yourself off the couch and into the crowd this week by checking out our personal picks below, but if that's not enough, head over to our complete Concert Listings pages for more.

Alessia Cara

After last year's Know-It-All, this 19-year-old Juno nominee has been sweeping across North America on her first sold-out headlining tour. In fact, her Edmonton show might just be your last chance to catch the Brampton, ON teen live in for a while, unless of course you're planning on hitting up the Junos in Calgary a few days later, where she'll be performing alongside fellow Toronto natives Shawn Mendes and the Weeknd.

Father John Misty

Father John Misty is bringing I Love You, Honeybear to Canada, so all of us unconventional romantics can bask in the glory of this atypical yet oh-so-relatable love stories. Based on a handful of recent performances, we can bet he'll have a few new tricks up his sleeve, so make sure not to miss out on this one at Vancouver's enchanting Orpheum Theatre.

Iron Maiden

Considering last September's 90-minute-long The Book of Souls and this year's nearly seven-month-long promotional world tour, Iron Maiden are on some sort of musical marathon, with no signs of stopping. Though we doubt they need any encouragement, catch them on one of the two dates listed below to cheer them on from the front row.

Mu

Mu are having a hometown celebration to celebrate the release of their sophomore EP, II, and you're invited! Join them at the Fox Cabaret in Vancity for what is sure to be a dreamy evening of pastel-dipped synth-pop partying.

Joel Plaskett Emergency

East Coast rock veteran Joel Plaskett reeled in one Juno back in 2010 for his album Three, but this year's group of nominees proves he's not slowing down anytime soon, with 2015's The Park Avenue Sobriety Test finding its way on to the list for Adult Alternative Album of the Year. Find him on his home turf this week with his band the Emergency to get a solid dose of wholesome Canadian jamming.

Pusha T

King Push is on the road this week as part of his Darkest Before Dawn tour to promote his latest album of the same name. With its mid-December release, the sophomore effort threw year-end album lists for a whirl, and with only a smattering of Canadian dates, we suggest you show face at one of the two venues listed below to find out just why he's considered royalty.

Savages

UK post-punk unit Savages have proven that they are more than they appear after delivering the introspective Adore Life LP earlier this year. With only a handful of Canadian dates on their hefty North American tour, we encourage you to grab a ticket and live a little; we have a feeling they would approve.

The Zolas

West Coast prog-pop outfit the Zolas are making their way back home after the release of their third album, Swooner, but not without making a few stops along the way. Allow yourself to be captivated by the quartet of Casanovas at one of their three upcoming shows this week.
