Father John Misty

"Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution" (video)

Father John Misty delivered his latest LP Pure Comedy earlier this year, and album cut "Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution" has just been given the visual treatment.

The song has been paired with an animated stop-motion clip that follows a man moving across a post-apocalyptic Earth — encountering other life only in the form of rats and roaches. The video was helmed by Chris Hopewell, who also recently directed the clips for Radiohead's "Burn the Witch" and Run the Jewels' "Don't Get Captured."

To help slow down the process of the video landscape becoming a reality, Father John Misty is auctioning off some of the puppets that appear onscreen. Proceeds will go to the Environmental Defense Fund, and you can put your bid in over here.
