Fartz

Injustice

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jan 1, 2006

Another blast of intense hardcore punk courtesy of the Fartz. Listening to this batch of new songs you wouldn't think they'd originally been playing this kind of stuff 20 odd years ago. The vocals of Blaine have that scorched quality to them that stands out and would sound familiar to anyone who has ever heard of either this band or his '80s skate/crossover stuff in the Accused. Considering their last release was a re-recording of old material, it's surprising how good this record sounds. They're far from washed-up and can still kick up a storm of punk rock energy. This was once again produced by erstwhile grunge mainstay Jack Endino, and among the 15 tracks is a cover of Discharge's "State Control."
