This Is a Riot

BY Davey JonesPublished Dec 1, 2005

A country-fried, punk-rock-abilly ruckus is what This Is a Riot offers from this Selkirk, MB three-piece. They’ve got a few other releases under their belts and on this, their first Stumble Records platter, you get 12 suped-up, toe-tappin’, ass-kickin’ and pomade-powered tunes. Songs about boozy binges, broken hearts and busted knuckles that just ooze sweat and swagger. These cats can really floor it; the musicianship is tight and the harmonies are more than all right. Kind of like if Johnny Cash, rather than Johnny Rotten, was fronting the Sex Pistols. This is a riot indeed and a real blast. Word from the bird.
