Published Mar 02, 2015Situated 80 kilometres east of Edmonton, the quiet town of Ryley, AB, is about to get a whole lot louder this summer. Now in its third year, metal fest Farmageddon Open Air will be descending upon the prairie village from June 11 to 14.
The festival will bring together heavy acts from home and abroad, with organizers revealing this years headliners as Grim Reaper, Pallbearer, Incantation, Into Eternity and Archspire.
Also joining the bill are Idolatry, Villainizer, the Order of Chaos, Samandriel, Xul, Aggression, Ides of Winter, Noire, Odinfist, Tyrant, Ironstorm, Kyoktys, This Monster Won't Die, Statue of Demur, Sub Atomic Chaos, Cryptic Enslavement, Wraith Risen, the Dead Cold, My Own Chao, Altars of Grief, Sleeping in Traffic, Bleed, Awaken the Abstract, Leave the Living, Naraka, Cryptosis, Pinky Eats Brain, Gatekeeper, Wive's Tail, Citizen Rage, Viathyn, the Difficult Brown, False Flag, With Malice, Korperlose Stimme, Valyria, Lylia Chorosive, Chalie Vegas, Alice Asphyxia, and Ivy Voltage.
"I can't express enough, just how excited we are to present this year's lineup," said organizer Tyson Travnik in a statement. "We truly feel that Farmageddon is being recognized for the international and Canadian talent fans get to experience during an intimate setting while in Alberta's back hills. We focus hard on bringing people's favorite bands to the festival that very rarely make an appearance in Western Canada, and I feel that we've hit the nail on the head for 2015."
