Fan Sues Method Man for Allegedly Shooting Her Repeatedly with Pellet Gun

There's nothing like a little gun-waving press to boost the marketability of a gangsta rapper. But allegedly shooting a fan six times with a pellet gun? That's not hardcore gangsta shit, that's just dumb.

Such is the dilemma of Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man, who is being accused of repeatedly shooting a woman from Fort Bend County, TX with a toy gun outside a House of Blues concert in Houston, according to All Hip-Hop.

Method Man (real name Clifford Smith) allegedly shot fan Mary Anderson with pellets in the chest and torso area from the window of his tour bus as the woman hounded him for autographs. Anderson sought medical attention after the incident.

The lawsuit against Method Man was filed on July 30 in the District Court of Harris County, TX. "The conduct of the defendant was so extreme and outrageous in character and so extreme in degree as to go beyond all bounds of decency and should be regarded as atrocious conduct and utterly intolerable in a civilized society," said Anderson's lawyer Daniel Horowitz III.

Anderson is seeking compensation for pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, disfigurement and legal and medical bills due to the shooting.

Method Man has not yet issued a statement about the alleged incident but a VladTV video posted on YouTube in late May shows Method Man bragging about a very similar incident where he shot a male fan in the leg with a pellet gun.

Hmm, looks like he broke the golden rule of gangsta rap. Never brag about your crimes, less they come back to bite you in the ass later on. Okay, we just made that rule up, but it seems obvious, doesn't it?
