Last we heard from Edmonton's premier minimal/maximal post-punk duo the Famines, they had just released a fantastically packaged cassette and were preparing to embark on a large Canadian tour. Well, it's now a few months later and the pair already have another trip ready for the Canadian masses.
Kicking off on July 17 in Victoria, the Famines will spend much of their summer crossing our fine country before winding down for a free homecoming show in Edmonton on August 17.
By the looks of their merch table at this year's Sled Island, the pair still have plenty of copies of their new cassette and debut double seven-inch available. They'll also be releasing a brand new seven-inch on July 24, so be sure to bring your merch money.
