Fake Problems Announce Canada/U.S Tour, Offer Up Free Wax Sessions

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 11, 2010

Though it was released just at the turn of fall, Fake Problems' new album Real Ghosts Caught on Tape is a summertime album. From the sunny, punk-lite sparkle of "Soulless" to the emotional, laid-back, indie pop of "Songs for Teenagers," the collection was meant to be paired up with you lounging at the side of the pool with an umbrella-topped drink in your hand. Seriously, the album cover sports a guy performing a kick-ass cannonball. With the winter months upon us, the Florida-bred band are hoping to warm us up again via their upcoming tour.

Leaving the cushy glow of the Sunshine State, the outfit will make their way through a number of chilly northern cities this December, including ten dates throughout Quebec and Ontario.

If you don't happen to live anywhere near these gigs, you can take solace in grabbing some pepped-up live takes of Real Ghosts Caught on Tape numbers that the group recently recorded at the Stratosphere Sound studio in New York City last October as part of Makers Mark's Red Wax Sessions. You can download the songs, as well as other mini-sets from Surfer Blood and Woven Bones, among others, here.
