Faith No More started up their North American tour last night (April 15), and as could be expected, they played a few new tunes from their upcoming reunion LP, Sol Invictus. Now, fan-filmed footage has surfaced of the live premiere of the title track, as well as for album closer "From the Dead."

Keyboardist Roddy Bottum confirmed with the PNE Forum crowd that the band had never played "Sol Invictus" live before, admitting there was a bit of pressure with premiering a brand new tune. "Cheer like you recognize it," he quipped nervously, but the band played the tune gracefully. Dialling down the intensity of the the group's monstrous "Superhero" single, the song features some patented Mike Patton crooning and tranquil, though threatening melodies.

"From the Dead" flipped the mood, with the band all smiles as they harmonized together over a breezy, tambourine-assisted melody.

You'll find the concert footage below, while the album officially hits stores May 19 through Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings.
