A Faith Called Chaos Forgive Nothing

From the first intense riffs and bell-like hooks on "They Leave a Small Hum in their Wake,” you catch on that A Faith Called Chaos means business. Riffs are metal- or classic rock-inspired, while songs stay true to obvious pop punk and emo roots. Sure, the band signed to trendy skate punk entertainment company Volcom before they graduated high school, but this doesn’t detract from the band’s great effort on this release. Lead vocalist Jon Logan Allred has a melodic Davey Havok twinge to his voice and manages to pull off some neat tricks, as the vocal lines in "We Woke Up A Fire.” The album has more hits than misses, and seeing as this is the band’s first album you can only expect things to get better.
