"Fairytale"

Canadian alt-country veterans Cowboy Junkies have revealed a new song called "Fairytale" from the upcoming album The Wilderness.

The new album is out on March 27 via Latent and marks the fourth and final instalment on The Nomad Series. Preceded by Renmin Park, Demons and Sing in My Meadow over the last couple of years, the group have described the latest collection of songs thusly:

"They are about being lost in the wilderness of age, the wilderness of parenthood, in the wilderness of just trying to find meaning and substance, happiness and truth in one's day to day life. They are about standing alone in middle of it all, breathing in the cold still air and wondering."

As previously reported, the fourth album in the series will be followed by a box set that will include a bonus CD. Cowboy Junkies are also scheduled to perform at Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio on March 14.

For now, listen to the brand new Cowboy Junkies song "Fairytale" from The Wilderness below.
