Eyesores

Bent at the Waist

BY Matt CharltonPublished May 1, 2003

Sounding remotely like Sparklehorse with an accordion fetish, the Eyesores’ Bent at the Waist is a subdued excursion into the ever popular gothic tango genre. Focusing on mood rather than dynamics, the album moves along nicely in a Raymond Scott on painkillers rescoring Dracula kind of way. So, if your looking for something that runs a little alternative of the alternative, or you just read way too much Anne Rice, the Eyesores could be for you.
