New Orleans sludge vets Eyehategod have announced they've found a new drummer to sit behind the stool in the wake of Joey LaCaze's death last summer. The latest addition to the outfit is skinsman Aaron Hill.

The group revealed Hill's membership today (October 31) in a press release, just hours ahead of their performance at Jefferson, LA's House of Shock. Prior to joining Eyehategod, Hill played with fellow NOLA units Missing Monuments and Mountain of Wizard.

Last weekend, Eyehategod played a tribute set to LaCaze at the Housecore Horror Film Fest in Austin, TX, though that concert featured Melvins drummer Dale Crover behind the kit. You'll find all of Eyehategod's upcoming dates with Hill down below.

As previously reported, LaCaze had passed away August 23 due to respiratory failure. The drummer had reportedly suffered from serious asthma and died two days before his 42nd birthday.

In other news, the press release also notes that a new LP is currently mixed by Sanford Parker, though no other details have been issued thus dar. The band's last album was 2000's Confederacy of Ruined Lives.
