Exclusive: Four Tet Remixes Tegan and Sara
Fans of Tegan and Sara  and Four Tet don't seem to cross paths too often. But with the upcoming release of Tegan and Sara's second single, "Alligator," fans from both camps have found a reason to share some high-fives.

In an interview with Exclaim!, Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) recently revealed, "I've just done a remix from this thing - it's from Canada - called Tegan and Sara? They're like, twins? I've just done a remix for them, a song called 'Alligator' [from Tegan and Sara's Sainthood]."

Although Hebden stresses that he hasn't heard back from the duo to see if they are actually going to use the remix, considering Tegan and Sara's recent fascination with electronic music, including a guestspot on the recent Tiësto LP and a confirmed electronic side-project featuring AFI's Hunter Burgan and Tegan, there's a good chance that it'll be included as an upcoming b-side.

And while it's apparent that Hebden has never heard of Calgary, AB's favourite twin sisters, he is an all-around big fan of Canadian music, as he tells Exclaim!, "I've got quite a few friends who are musicians from Canada who I'm always following. Dan Snaith from Caribou has been over, playing mixes from his new album, and that's going to be one of the big records of 2010; I think it's absolutely amazing.

"I follow everything Koushik does on Stones Throw and I have a few demos of tracks from the new Born Ruffians album, which is sounding really good. I've become friendly with quite a few Canadian artists, so I'm hearing music from there all of the time."

Four Tet's fifth LP, There Is Love in You, will hit stores Tuesday (January 26) via Domino. His North American tour with Nathan Fake begins mid-February, with a stop in Vancouver on February 24.
