Exclaim!'s Readers Poll Results Are In with Mastodon, Adele, Drake, Fucked Up, Colin Stetson

This week, we're officially putting 2011 to bed with the results of our year-end Readers Poll. After choosing our favourite albums of the year, including releases from Bon Iver, Fucked Up, KEN Mode and James Blake, we asked you, the fans, to let us know who topped your playlists in 2011.

Check out the links below to see who you crowned the best in Pop & Rock, Hip-Hop, Metal and more, and why you say they're deserving of a top-ten spot.

In our Readers Poll, the Favourite Pop & Rock Albums of 2011 include those by Feist, the Black Keys and Adele, while the list of Favourite Hip-Hop Albums of 2011 features Jay-Z, Kanye West and Drake.

The Favourite Metal Albums of 2011 includes the likes of Machine Head, the mighty Mastodon and three of the big four. Favourite Dance & Electronic Albums of 2011, on the other hand, praises deadmau5, Austra and the man you deemed the don of dubstep.

Next up, Social Distortion, Iceage and Fucked Up topped your Favourite Punk Albums of 2011, and Dan Mangan, One Hundred Dollars and a surprising shout-out to Taylor Swift can be found in your Favourite Folk & Country Albums of 2011.

Lastly, the Favourite Improv & Avant-Garde Albums of 2011 list features Tom Waits, Colin Stetson and Battles, while Favourite Soul & World Albums of 2011 sees Charles Bradley, the Weeknd and Mayer Hawthorne making the cut.
