While you've seen it on our website for years, Exclaim! TV's Garageland, which features interviews and performances from some of our favourite artists, will be making its debut on cable this February. The show will premiere on the AUX TV network on February 9.

But while recent online segments have jumped from covering everyone from folkie Basia Bulat to beloved indie rock group Broken Social Scene, AUX TV's Garageland will significantly up the punks. As the Garageland brains put it, the new half-hour show "highlights Canadian and international punk acts through insightful interviews and engaging live footage."

The first season is primed to get you whipping up a vicious circle pit in your living room. Scheduled interviews include: Strike Anywhere, the Gaslight Anthem, Madball, Bomb the Music Industry!, GBH, the Menzingers, A Wilhelm Scream, Comeback Kid, the Swellers, Touche Amore, Living with Lions, Mustard Plug, the Planet Smashers, Tim Barry, the Flatliners, Brutal Knights, Fake Problems, the Creepshow, Statues, Fireworks, Hellogoodbye and more.

To celebrate the show's premiere on February 9 at 7:30 p.m. EST, the creators of Garageland are holding a contest. If you retweet the show's trailer on your Twitter account, you will automatically be entered into a contest to win one of three prize-packs. Prizes include rare vinyl, posters and CDs from bands featured in season one.

You can check out the trailer below, and the tweet link is over here

Also, there will be a launch party in Toronto on February 11 at the Bovine (542 Queen St. W), where Statues, the Decay and Victim Party are all playing.
