Published Jul 20, 2012Want to keep up to date with Canada's latest concert announcements and listings? We've got you covered. Exclaim! and AUX have teamed up to launch Concert Sherpa, an interactive website that allows users to search for shows across the country.
Right now, Concert Sherpa is in its beta stages, and while you can currently find detailed informative about shows in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, you can expect the site's listings to become increasingly extensive as time goes on.
To help fans discover the hottest upcoming concerts in their area, the site will offer weekly picks for a series of can't-miss shows. The concert listings will also be complemented by videos and artist news. To make things even more convenient, a free Concert Sherpa app will be released later this summer.
Take Concert Sherpa for a spin right here.
"Great music centres on the power of the live experience, where fans connect with each other and the artist," Exclaim! publisher Ian Danzig said in a statement. "With Concert Sherpa we want to offer a platform that brings music fans to more shows, providing interactive national concert listings with the latest news and video on artists for users to explore."
Simon Foster from AUX's parent company GlassBOX Television added, "Every city in Canada is brimming with great shows for music fans of all varieties. We built Concert Sherpa to engage audiences and make finding the live music they seek that much easier."
Also, "like" Concert Sherpa on Facebook and you can enter for a chance to win tickets to Gotye live in Toronto or Burnaby, BC.
Concert Sherpa was developed with help from FACTOR, OMDC and the Bell Media Fund.
